Faculty in the Whiting School of Engineering are inviting applicants to apply for postdoctoral research positions in materials science and engineering. Three positions are currently available: i) as the Engineering School liaison for a new HREM facility with responsibility for collaborating on a variety of materials related studies, ii) an investigation of interface energies using sputter deposited microlaminate specimens and zero creep techniques, and iii) mechanical characterization of emerging high temperature structural and MEMS materials with microsample testing. Successful applicants will benefit from the creation of the new HREM facility, the recent expansion of fabrication and characterization capabilities, and the presence of the Hopkins MRSEC on Nanostructured
Materials.
