Loyola College in Maryland seeks an experienced, energetic and highly committed individual as its new Director of Alumni Relations. The position is one of six Director-level positions in the College’s Division of Development and College Relations and reports to the Vice President.
The Director of Alumni Relations manages a five-person team with three Assistant Directors. The alumni relations program is wide-ranging, including an extensive campus-based program, an expanding regional program in cities from Boston to Florida, and new initiatives in career networking, service and spirituality, athletic alumni relations, and electronic communications. The College has four alumni associations for distinct alumni constituencies.
Candidates for the position should have five or more years of progressively responsible experience in alumni relations and a proven track record of leadership in developing and implementing successful programming that encourages alumni involvement and support. A familiarity with alumni programs at institutions similar to Loyola College is preferred. Supervisory experience and a Bachelor’s degree are required, and a Master’s degree is preferred. Outstanding written and verbal communications skills and superior organizational ability preferred.
